My Bio
Mulika 2nd Year (November 26, 2013)

As far as I can see the only spring wheat really worth growing at the moment, have achieved good quality both years. Grow variety on the back of advice on controlling my black grass. Doesn't yield anything like the winters but helpful nevertheless.

Concerto Gives me options (November 19, 2013)

Was looking to replace Tipple with a variety which could go north if I needed it too, Concerto seemed like a logical variety with it brewing and distilling. Was pleased to get any seed as neighbour had to use imported stuff he couldn't name. Yielded as well as Propino and have made spec - just a shame there are no premiums ! Will grow again

Troy Interesting Variety (November 19, 2013)

Always been a little dubious about dwarf varieties as they have never looked like they have the yield. Especially the ones by your knees! Gave this a go and did as well as the Excalibur and W21 I have on farm. increased the drilling rate to 65 seed and drilled 1st week of Sept (a week later and it wouldn't of got in!) and yielded 3.5t which was where we averaged this year.

Grafton Still the best at its main job (November 19, 2013)

Been growing for a number of years now and still rate as one of the best varieties I have grown. Although looks poor on the Rec List with regard to yield still seems to be the only wheat that I have which is the best entry into rape but also works as an early driller. not the highest yielding now but helps me with all the other varieties.
