Farmers Review & Christmas

28 Nov 2013-433 -0

I thought it was about time that I wrote my own blog, as the other bloggers know I pester them quite often so I thought I should finally write my own one.

Well, we’re not far away from Christmas now, what’s the present everyone wants this year? My family and friends have asked for everything under the sun from rifle cabinets and shotgun safes (like these ones!) to fancy wellies, British Bake Off utensils and a Xbox One! So what do I want for Christmas? World Peace, a cure for cancer, a puppy and a new car… think some of those might be unrealistic so if they’re not possible then I’d like to see Farmers Review take off and become a popular site for the farming community.

As most of you probably know I’m always crazing people with my tweets encouraging you to register and leave reviews, but I really believe that Farmers Review has the potential to become a popular and important site within agriculture. We are trying to build a one stop shop of information, reviews, comments and interaction. However we need as much support as possible from you guys to help us to grow and get established. I would like to thank everyone who has reviewed, registered, read our blogs and passed on the name of Farmers Review. I really hope that you all like the site and understand what we are trying to achieve. The website has been put together for you so please contact us if you have any ideas for the site or you feel that something doesn’t work. We’d be delighted to hear from you.

Sooo, onto the future, we’ve got plenty of things coming up over the next few months. At the moment we’re in the process of collecting information on a huge number of tractors and combines that are available in the market. We hope to have these published on the website before Christmas with the hope that this will encourage more reviews and ratings. I’m also in the process of developing a very simple “Write a Review” app and our mobile site will soon have the ability for interactive profiles, this means photo’s, comments and status updates can be posted on the move. Basically I’m trying to make it as simple as possible for you guys to access Farmers Review,  I appreciate how busy you all are so making our website available on mobile phones and tablets is a major goal of ours.  There’s also a farmers panel that we’re trying to put together, which if you’re interested in joining please contact me. Then we move onto Lamma in Jan and the BBRO conference in Feb so lots and lots of things to be getting on with.

In other personal news, I’m currently waiting for a quote to come back from the garage regarding a small accident I had with my car last week. It’s a bit embarrassing but I drove into the security bollard in my office car park! To be fair to me the bollard was down as I started to approach it, however by the time I got to it, it was not…. Lets just say it made a bit of a bang and a bit of a dent!  At least it’s not an expensive time of the year…oh wait a second…(unhappy face with tear).  My sports are going well, my hockey team are still top of the league, we’ve got our “crunch” match this Saturday against second place Felixstowe. With squash I’m still trying to teach Tom (FarmersReviewTom) the basics of the game, however every time we play he seems to get injured (Man up Tommy boy!).

Well I think that’s about it for now I’m sure I’ve taken up enough of your valuable time. Writing this blog has actually been quite fun, it’s nice to write more than 140 characters every once and a while, I might actually do another soon (depends if you guys are interested!).  The comments are open below so if you ever wish to reply please write something in here.

Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year

All the best

Ashleigh
